Ease in and Ease out

1. "Ease in and Out Principles"

The Principles of Ease In and Out are to allow the motion of an object be believable. The motion starts slowly, with more frames in the beginning of the action. The middle of the motion, less frames are used, making it faster. The end of the motion eases out, more frames collect and the motion slows down again.

2. My Video:

Thaumatrope

1. Process

The technique of a Thaumatrope is to have an image on both sides of the paper, and have them slightly different. Whether the difference is a face on one side, the expression on the other or a bird cage on one side, bird on the other is up to the artist. When the paper is spun fast, the two images combine in a way that they appear to be one.

2. Idea

My idea was to have two people (a person on each side) kiss. After drawing the first person I realized the second person would end up upside-down. Keeping this in mind, I drew the second person, hanging upside-down to kiss the first person.
